Great Southern Sip Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 17 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Great Southern Sip website, online wine store, memberships, gift cards, events, masterclasses and privately hosted wine experiences.

By accessing this website, placing an order or making a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Age Requirements

You must be aged 18 years or over to:

  • purchase wine from Great Southern Sip

  • create an account for the purpose of purchasing liquor

  • accept a liquor delivery

  • attend an experience or event where you intend to consume alcohol

By purchasing wine or booking an experience, you confirm that you and all participants consuming alcohol are aged 18 years or over and legally permitted to purchase or consume alcohol in Australia.

Great Southern Sip may request acceptable proof of age and may refuse or cancel an order where age requirements cannot be confirmed.

It is an offence to purchase liquor on behalf of a person under 18 years of age.

3. Website Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, availability, event information and other website content are accurate.

Images are provided for general illustration. Bottle presentation, labels, closures, packaging and vintages may occasionally differ from website images.

Wine is an agricultural product and may vary between vintages, vineyards and bottlings.

Please contact Great Southern Sip before purchasing where a particular vintage, label, closure or presentation is essential to your decision.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Delivery charges, booking fees or other costs will be displayed before payment is completed.

Payment must be received in full before an online wine order, experience booking, event ticket or membership is confirmed.

Payments may be processed securely through third-party payment providers. Great Southern Sip does not generally receive or retain your complete payment-card details.

5. Order Acceptance

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that your order has been received. It does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted.

An order is accepted once Great Southern Sip confirms that:

  • payment has been received

  • the products are available

  • the purchaser satisfies applicable age requirements

  • the order can legally be supplied and delivered

  • no pricing or website error has occurred

Great Southern Sip may decline or cancel an order where:

  • wine is unavailable

  • an incorrect price or product description was displayed

  • payment cannot be processed

  • fraud or misuse is suspected

  • age or identity requirements cannot be satisfied

  • delivery would breach liquor-licensing requirements

  • the delivery location is prohibited or restricted by law

If Great Southern Sip cancels an order after payment has been received, the affected amount will be refunded.

6. Product Availability and Substitutions

Wine and other products are subject to availability.

Where a wine becomes unavailable after an order is placed, Great Southern Sip will contact the purchaser and offer an appropriate option, which may include:

  • a comparable replacement

  • removal of the unavailable product and a partial refund

  • a store credit

  • cancellation and refund of the affected order

A substitution will not be made without the customer’s agreement where the replacement materially changes the nature or value of the order.

7. Wine Packs for Private Experiences

Wine used during a privately hosted Great Southern Sip experience is purchased separately through the Great Southern Sip online store.

The hosted experience fee covers professional wine education, presentation, glassware, tasting materials, equipment, setup and pack-down, together with food accompaniments where expressly stated.

The hosted experience fee does not include the wine pack.

After booking, the booking host will receive a separate link to purchase the required wine pack.

Wine packs:

  • must be purchased through the online store

  • must be ordered by an adult aged 18 years or over

  • are processed as separate packaged-liquor orders

  • are delivered in sealed bottles before the experience

  • become the property of the purchaser once delivered

  • remain in the purchaser’s possession following delivery

Cancelling or rescheduling a hosted experience does not automatically cancel a separately purchased wine order.

Additional wine orders placed during or after an experience will be processed separately and delivered in accordance with Great Southern Sip’s liquor licence and delivery conditions.

8. Hosted Experiences

Great Southern Sip offers privately hosted experiences at suitable homes, accommodation properties, workplaces and approved venues within the areas stated on the relevant experience page.

The booking host is responsible for:

  • providing the correct address

  • obtaining permission from the property owner or accommodation provider

  • providing a safe and suitable space

  • confirming final guest numbers

  • ensuring that all participants consuming alcohol are aged 18 years or over

  • purchasing the required wine pack

  • ensuring the wine pack is delivered before the experience

  • advising of allergies, dietary requirements and accessibility needs

  • ensuring guests behave safely and respectfully

Minimum booking charges may continue to apply if guest numbers fall below the minimum stated for the experience.

Great Southern Sip may refuse service to a person who appears intoxicated, behaves aggressively or unsafely, is under 18 years of age or cannot provide acceptable proof of age.

9. Food and Allergies

Some Great Southern Sip experiences include grazing boards, cheeses, charcuterie, breads, condiments or other foods.

Customers must advise Great Southern Sip of allergies and dietary requirements before the stated booking deadline.

Although reasonable care will be taken, food may be prepared, packed or handled in environments where allergens are present. Great Southern Sip cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.

Guests with severe allergies should contact Great Southern Sip before booking.

10. Events and Masterclasses

Public events, ticketed masterclasses and festival events may have additional event-specific terms.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • event tickets are transferable to another adult

  • the replacement attendee must satisfy all age and entry conditions

  • tickets are not redeemable for cash

  • resale above the original purchase price is not permitted

  • event timing, presenters and wine selections may change where reasonably necessary

Where an event-specific booking page contains different cancellation, transfer or entry conditions, the event-specific conditions will apply.

11. Memberships

Great Southern Sip memberships are subject to the benefits, pricing, minimum commitments and renewal conditions displayed when the membership is purchased.

Members are responsible for:

  • keeping account and payment details current

  • ensuring an adult is available to receive wine deliveries

  • cancelling or changing membership in accordance with the membership conditions

Member pricing and privileges generally apply only while the membership remains current and the member is logged into the applicable account.

Membership benefits cannot be combined with another offer unless expressly stated.

Host Appreciation Credits and other complimentary promotional credits are not purchased gift cards.

Promotional credits may:

  • have a stated expiry date

  • be limited to eligible products or experiences

  • be subject to minimum-spend requirements

  • be restricted to one use

  • be non-transferable

  • be unavailable for cash redemption

Applicable conditions will be communicated when the promotional credit is issued.

13. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotional offers and discount codes:

  • are valid only for the stated period

  • may be restricted to selected products or customers

  • cannot be exchanged for cash

  • cannot be applied retrospectively

  • may be limited to one use per customer or transaction

  • cannot be combined unless expressly permitted

Great Southern Sip may withdraw or correct an offer affected by a genuine error, misuse or unauthorised distribution.

Nothing in these conditions limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Intellectual Property

The Great Southern Sip name, branding, written content, photography, educational materials, tasting notes, regional maps, graphics and website design are owned by or licensed to Great Southern Sip unless otherwise stated.

Website content may be viewed and printed for personal, non-commercial use.

Content must not be copied, reproduced, republished, sold, modified or used commercially without prior written permission.

  • use the website for unlawful purposes

Great Southern Sip may suspend an account where misuse, fraud or unlawful conduct is reasonably suspected.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may use or link to third-party services including payment processors, ecommerce systems, booking platforms, delivery providers, social-media platforms and event-ticketing services.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Great Southern Sip is not responsible for the content or operation of an independent third-party website, except to the extent that responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Australian Consumer Law

Goods and services supplied by Great Southern Sip come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.

Where permitted by law, Great Southern Sip’s liability will be limited to the remedy available under applicable consumer law.

18. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Great Southern Sip is not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, road closure, transport disruption, power or technology failure, venue closure, government direction, illness or unavailability of an essential presenter.

Where an experience, event or delivery is affected, Great Southern Sip will communicate with affected customers and offer an appropriate remedy, which may include rescheduling, replacement, credit or refund, having regard to the circumstances and applicable law.

19. Changes to These Terms

Great Southern Sip may update these Terms and Conditions when its services, legal obligations or operating practices change.

The version applying to an order or booking will generally be the version published when that transaction was completed, unless a change is required by law.
